How to Keep Your Bathroom Warm
*This is a collaborative post.
When you're in the midst of winter, the idea of a hot bath is likely one that's luxurious to you. Being able to sink into warm, bubbly water is one of those relaxing ways to end the day. The problem is that once you get out of that warm, bubbly water, you're stuck in a freezing cold bathroom that's mostly tile. It's not the ideal temperature to have your bathroom at, and there are several reasons why your bathroom may be chilly, especially during the winter.
Knowing what's dropping the temperature can help you to make your bathroom a much cosier space because you can close off any other gaps that's making the bathroom cold in the first place. Installing vertical radiators is going to help with the warmth, but there are so many other ways that you can make your bathroom warm too. Let's take a look at some of the ways that you can warm up your bathroom and avoid any of those drafts, cold tiles, and high ceilings that have been making your bathroom a cold place to be.

Use the dehumidifier. If your bathroom is small and currently you only have an exhaust fan, it's time to swap that out for a dehumidifier. This will drive the air through condensation rather than sucking all the air out of the room. When you use an exhaust fan, you pull the humidity in your bathroom through the fans and introduce outside unheated air, which is why your bathroom is so much chillier in the winter months.
Install radiators. Even the smallest of bathrooms can benefit from radiators because not all radiators are giant square blocks on the walls. Vertical radiators can be mounted at the top of the wall towards the ceiling, and this will help you to feel much more comfortable in your bathroom space.
Use warm lighting. Did you know that ceiling mounted or wall mounted heating lamps can really help to heat up a substantial part of the bathroom? You can get these lights from good hardware stores or lighting distributors, and you can get the correct fittings to mount the heating lamps to avoid any issues with your electrics. When you choose a warming light bulb, you can significantly improve the feel of the bathroom as the light will be gold and tinted and not cool white.
Upgrade your shower head. The bigger the shower head, the more your body is covered in more mortar while you shower. Additionally, a larger shower head also produces more steam and that can improve your bathroom temperature. Always be sure to make sure that whatever shower head you are using, your water efficiency levels are good.
Invest in preheaters. Having a large water heater or a boiler in the house is a blessing, but it can be a problem to heat up in a larger family. A preheating system can ensure that your warm water is actually warm, no matter how many people have had a shower that morning. It's worse to step into a cold bathroom if you're going to be dealing with a cold shower.
